              There is a registered Alumni Association that contributes significantly to the development of the institution through financial and other support services. The Government Degree College Indora Alumni Association (GDCIAA) is a registered association with HP Societies Registration Act-2006 (N0. 25 of 2006), Himachal Pradesh, officially registered on 15.07.2020, though it has been in existence for last four years. Presently, the association has its own bank account, PAN and other required documents as well as online registration and communication system. The association aims to provide a common platform to the old students of the college. The college has produced many teachers, engineers, advocates, political leaders, clerks and officers in different cadres. Since its inception in 1995, the association has 1600 old students who are registered as members in two categories; mentor and ordinary member. The (GDCIAA) has contributed for the beautification of the campus, by developing a botanical garden in the campus. To nurture and sustain old bonding, Alumni association organizes alumni meets to reunite with their classmates, faculty members, and management, revitalize their memories and share professional experiences with the prospective graduates. The association office bearers are invited for all the functions of the college.

               Good alumni relations benefit alumni as well as the institution. Well established alumni have the capacity and inclination to make significant contribution to the betterment of the institution. The alumni can donate funds for the institution, sponsor research, student’s courses, adopt the poor students, provide the expert advice and guidance, support the student’s placements and career guidance, share talents and contribute in different ways. The college organized its first ever Alumni Meet on 16 October 2019. The meet was organized under the chairmanship of Principal Raj Kumar Jamwal , in order to reach out to the alumni of the college and to give them a feeling of belongingness and make them aware about the diverse activities the college has been undertaking since its establishment. After the alumni meet, the alumni association was constituted by the active participation of all the alumni members.

          The alumni members elected unanimously are the President, the Vice President, the Secretary and the Treasurer. The members of the association assure to extend full support and assistance for development of the college in general and wellbeing of the students in particular. The association works to bridge the gap between the college and alumni. The alumni members show great deal of concern for the students of the college. They assure to keep in touch with the college and try to visit the college more frequently as may be. A good number of alumni of the college have extended support in different activities of the college. The passed out alumni contribute a lot in preparing the NCC Cadets, NSS Volunteers and sportsmen of the college. They visited the college and offer their support to the students preparing for different competitive examinations, sports and display their talent in the events at the University of Himachal Pradesh.
