Learning Outcomes
Learning outcomes of the various programmes are defined and stated along with the syllabi on the affiliating University websites (https://www.hpuniv.ac.in , https://www.himtu.ac.in/ and https://www.spumandi.ac.in/index.php ). Hard Copy of syllabi and Learning Outcomes are available in the departments and Library for ready reference to the teachers and students. The teachers make sure that these outcomes are the guiding principles in their own curriculum. The students’ feedback at the end of each semester/Year reflects the success that these outcomes have met/not met at the end of each semester. The last few surveys indicate that the programme outcomes that were clearly defined and conveyed to the students have met the desired success.
The college has systematic process of collecting and evaluating data on programme and course learning outcomes and uses it to overcome the barriers to learning:
- Organizing orientation programme for the students at the beginning of the session to brief the POs and COs.
- Conducting training programmes to get familiar with the present scenario.
- Managing lectures of resource persons from diverse fields.
- Observance of various days of National and International importance to acquaint the students with their significance.

Assessment of Programme Learning Outcomes is done through direct and indirect methods of assessment. The purpose behind giving the assignments is that the students can consult reference books and search for available e-resources in addition to the text books. It enhances and widens the horizons and understanding level of students. It is the duty and responsibility of the concerned subject teacher to ensure that all students are able to work out the assignments honestly and within the specified time. Assessment tools like comprehensive examination, presentation and performance in the class etc. are decided keeping in mind the learning outcomes to be measured and the desired emphasis during the delivery of a programme as prescribed in the course curriculum.
